Chronology.

1974 8th May: Adewale Alimi born on Wednesday in Randle Hospital Lagos.

1980: The Alimi family moves to Abeokuta as a result of  his father’s job transfer

1980: The Family moves to Ibadan, his father job transfer

1986: Alimi Adewale graduated from Saint Mathias Primary School Agbowo Ibadan and he was the Head Boy of the school.

1987: Entered Abadina College University of Ibadan

1988: Alimi’s Family moves to Lagos

1988: Enrolled into Ansar-ur Deen Grammar School Randle Avenue Lagos

1992: Computer Training at Comptech

1994: Went to Ilorin to Study Mechanical Engineering

1998: Visited an Art Exhibition at the National Stadium

2000: Started Art apprenticeship with Kamoru Sarumi

2002: Posted to Enugu for the National Youth Service Corps where he met several lecturers and students. He viewed the AKA artists exhibition

2002: Representation by Quintessence Gallery Lagos

2003: Representation by Colours in Africa Lagos

2002-2009: Worked at Wangonet, Accenture and Vetiva Capital

2005: First Solo Art Exhibition titled African Ancient Rhythms and Hues in Quintessence gallery Lagos

2008: Representation by Terra Kulture Lagos

2009: Representation by Artistic License

2010: Painted Girl with Full Lips which started his foray into figuration

2011: Sublime Exhibition at Quintessence gallery

2012 June: Anonymous Exhibition , Charity exhibition for the Ebunoluwa Foundation Quintessence Gallery Falomo Lagos

2012 June : Nigeria Now Exhibition 34 Limpopo Street FCT Abuja

2012 July : [Dis] Placement – Two-man Exhibition Terra Kulture Tiamiyu savage VI Lagos. Alimi Adewale and Richardson Ovievbo

2013 march: Naked Butterflies an Online Art Exhibition. First of its kind in Africa and was a huge success.

2013 July: World Bank Art Exhibition.  Abuja

2013 November: Attended Ake and Book festival. He was part of a Group Show ” The Shadow of Memory”

2014 January: Representation by Red Door gallery Lagos

2014 August :  Joburg Art Fair,  participation through Red Door gallery Lagos

2014 September:  ECLECTIC,  Solo Art Exhibition Quintessence Gallery Lekki Lagos
